Heavy Equipment Training School Toronto - HEO or the heavy equipment operator courses will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed in order to enter the workforce as an entry level heavy equipment operator. In this 12 week course plus a practicum, you would focus on jobsite basics including: safety, health and environmental awareness and training, machinery maintenance and operation, and use of earth moving methods in hands-on conditions.

Operator training will help people work with their selected heavy machine such as a grader, loader, compactor, an excavator and a dozer. The needed skills which an operator would require to work with heavy machinery comprises: excellent oral communication skills, excellent problem solving skills, physical strength and stamina, excellent spatial ability and excellent vision, the ability to work alone or well with others in a team and good manual dexterity along with excellent eye-hand coordination.

Some technical skills are likewise required.
